Aww Susan! I can feel your joy and the excitement at all your ideas and potential. Sounds like you were truly in your element and you had the space to lean into your talents and play/ experiment.

I really relate to this. Art was always one of my favourite subjects and I did it for A Level at school. I think I do still have a couple of books somewhere and I can remember the fizzing feeling of inspiration. It didn't feel like a 'lesson'. It's only recently I've started dabbling in arty stuff again and I love it.
