I have a form of arthritis in my thumbs (I’m 66) that makes it painful to use them precisely in the way one opens and holds a book. I also have difficulty turning pages. As a result, I stopped buying print books altogether about six years ago. I used to have a significant physical library but I thinned it over the years so others can enjoy the books (and keep them). I’ve been using my iPad and iPhone primarily for reading, though the backlighting gets to me sometimes.
I find certain books, like reference books, I need a physical copy as I like to underline things and make notes. Other times, I prefer ebooks for the convenience. One thing I've not been able to get into are audio books though. I know I'm definitely a visual reader.

Hiya Barry, this is great point. I'm glad you made it. Having your books digitally must be very freeing too. All that space you've now got!
Thanks for the heads-up!

Yeah, I totally get that. I enjoy an audiobook on a long drive (alone) or when traveling by train... But these are rare occurrences these days!
