Hi Susan this is my second year of choosing a word for the year. I hadn't been aware of the concept until last year. Mine is Connection. It is one of the reasons I started a Substack. Last year on IG I had grown to feel unhappy. Missing the connections I had built up over the years that was being steadily diminished by the algorithm. (I'm still over there, just not letting it be my focus anymore).
So my fresh start is with my 2024 word and something new. It's great to be here!
Grounded is a wonderful word. As someone I know wisely says. Keep your feet on the ground and reach for the stars 🌟
Oooh! What a gorgeous word....and the reasons for it echo my own hopes for 2024! My word for this year, after much noodling and deliberation, is deepen. As you've written, it feels like building strong foundations that will support the rest...whatever that looks like. xo
