Susan, I'm so with you on the wonderful world of fungi! A long-time mushroom lover (the only one in my house, sadly) I have been diving deep into the world of functional mushrooms and their antifungal/antibacterial/anti-inflammatory properties and now have a whole range in powder form every day. We'll see what they do for me in the fullness of time, especially since I'm currently on antibiotics for a UTI that *surely* shouldn't have gotten so bad with all these 'shrooms😉! Looking forward to hearing more from you on this, and how fascinating that your interest found its way into your writing in such a significant way.

Lindsay, sorry to hear about the UTI. Women's parts can be so frustrating.

I'm intrigued as to what you've been taking as yes, you guessed it, the medicinal side is of huge interest and I didn't even touch on it in this post. I got sent some of the Herbtender products to try and really like them, but I've not been taking them consistently.

I am all over it! Indigo Herbs does a multi mushroom complex in tablet form and I have to confess I've been reeled in by Instagram and have been drinking Dirtea cacao and mushroom coffee...!

I've had a couple of things from Indigo Herbs, not mushroom stuff, but they're a great company aren't they? Yeah I've not tried that Dirtea but I do have some mushroom coffee ☕

Yep, I totally rate them for other stuff well. I take a thyme tincture during the winter months that's meant to be good at keeping bad bacteria at bay!

I've been reading about Thyme recently. I'd love to grow my own next year 🌱

HUGE fan of fungi. Also moss and lichen. Truly they are tiny amazing miracles, full of magic and mysticism and no, there's likely not much profit in using them so few people are singing their praises. (cue disgruntled diatribe on late-stage capitalism).

Yes, this! Exactly. I'm going to look into this more at some point but it feels like information I'm just going to be annoyed about, hence my speculation.

And the colours of moss and lichen, all my favourites!
