No audio this week.
This week feels very similar to last week so I’m not going to go on about spinning plates again. (Listen or read last week’s for that!)
What I want to share is that, during my quiet mornings, before the house gets up and the builders arrive, I’ve been working for around ninety minutes.
To account for these early sessions I’ve been in bed around 9:30 pm each night and asleep by ten. Even so, my body wants more rest. I won’t tell you that waking up at 5:30 has been easy and that I leapt out of bed and grabbed a coffee and my laptop; it’s not true. These mornings have been bleary-eyed. Sometimes so dark that I’ve not been able to see the keyboard and made so many typos.
Despite this, I’ve made progress. Despite this, I’ve tied up a few plotholes.
This weekend I hope to catch up on a bit of sleep and rest, my partner is back from a two-week work trip and I can feel myself unwinding as I type.
I’ve also had two extensions land in my lap, without me asking for them. Okay, maybe I never verbalised them, but I probably did ask for them… I’m grateful.

Photo - This week the kids and I spent a morning in the shady Macclesfield Forest.
Until next time,
Susan.
