We are back to my usual ten-minute voice note this week.

• Books I’m reading and how through coincidence or fate, the books I’ve read whilst writing and editing have helped me with specific elements of the book I’m working on.

• Moving on from Beat Seven (yay!!) but discovering scenes that should be in that section.

• A writing course on Writing the Uncanny from Comma Press.

• My kids are breaking up from school today and the juggle that will bring to my writing.

Six years ago at the back of Manchester Museum, my obsession with nature taking over is never far from my mind. These ivy tendrils look like fingers or tentacles, creeping into the window.
