Hello readers!
On the scale of Wild & Quiet, this week has been on the wild side.
I’m writing this wearing not one, but two scarves because when I get tired, I get cold. And we are in October, so I’m allowed ;-)
The highlight of my wildly busy week was the Edgar Allen Poe Livestream. I received an impromptu reading from the Goddess tarot deck creator Kris Waldherr. You can watch it here if you like. It is a long event, the section for the tarot is from 3:30.
I was nervous about doing the YouTube live, mainly because of the time difference. I didn’t want to be late!
The Poe Kickstarter is now funded and is on stretch goals. Check it out here.
During the Livestream (when I finally figured out how) I shared a photograph of how I’d used the tarot recently. The cards I pulled became the genesis of the story I’m working on for the Poe anthology. I used a mixture of the decks I own and drew cards instinctively. It was great to hear how others felt when they saw these cards.
I’ve included the photo of the cards and the free and easy layout below. From this, I developed the characters, setting and plot. I felt so fired up that a large chunk of the story poured out of me and onto the page shortly afterwards. I look forward to sharing this tale when the anthology is published.
I am loving the dark undertone of the spread. Excited to read what you've written.
Love these decks, what are they?
