The One Where I Tried to do EVERYTHING (again)
Lifting the veil on my writing life.
Friends, it has been quite a month.
Firstly, thank you if you bought any of my books recently. I had planned to do more fun promo stuff for my books birthdays, but I couldn’t execute it all.
Frankly, I’d underestimated the work involved. And I’d overestimated my capacity for said work while my kids were on a school break and we had some jobs done in the house. Throw in a dose of tonsillitis from my youngest (which meant she was off nearly all this week as well as the two weeks of school holiday) and a cat that’s damaged his ear and also needs antibiotics.
It all just got a bit much so I’ll save those other things for a later date.
In the flurry of this month, it has also been my one-year anniversary here on Substack (the platform through which I send these letters).
Substack has changed a lot in the last twelve months. I don’t have the energy to share my thoughts about my time here, but I will do in a future post.
That’s all for this week. I’m off for a nap. 😴
What doesn’t kill us…etc.
Happy ‘birthday’!
Hang in there Susan! Hope your youngest and the cat are both doing OK. Love this photo of little you 💛
